Hello Everyone,
I want to take this opportunity to introduce myself, and my two officemates pictured with me. My name is Karah Appleget and as of February 14th, 2020, I have had the pleasure of being Norwalk Nursing and Rehabilitation Community’s Administrator. My two officemates are Millie and Rufus. Millie is a Miniature Goldendoodle and she is two years old. Rufus is a Miniature Yorkie and he just celebrated his 16th birthday! You will see them both around the facility keeping residents and staff company.
I am originally a Sigourney, IA native. I started my career as a CNA when I was sixteen years old. After working on the floor in a direct care role, I realized I had a passion for long term care and felt that it was my calling to pursue a career in administration. I decided to further my education at the University of Northern Iowa and obtained a B.S. in Gerontology- Long Term Care Administration.
If you take away anything from this letter, it’s very important to me that you know that I have an open door policy. Anytime you have a praise, concern, or problem, I am only a visit or phone call away. Whether you are a resident, employee, or family member, I truly want your experience at Norwalk Nursing and Rehab Community to not only meet but exceed your expectations. If there is anything you need from me, please let me know. I will be glad to help in any way I can.
Karah Appleget, LNHA
Administrator
